What is a session? Well... Sessions are awesome afternoons or evenings that you spend kiting to your heart's content!

Whether you are looking to practice waterstarting, riding a surfboard, or if you just want to see the Bay from a unique view, our famous jetski assisted coaching style allows us to find the best conditions for you while keeping keep you safe.

Some of our locations that we session will be; Toll Plaza Beach, breezy Treasure Island, the infamous Alcatraz, Golden Gate bridge, and Sherman Island.

Our sessions are typically one-on-one, although it can be doubled if both riders agree. This way, you receive the coach's undivided attention.

• Prerequisite Skills - Basic kite control on land (Ground School)
• Maximum participants - 1
• Experience Level - You will need to have a basic understanding of how to fly a four or five-line power kite.
• Session Time - 2 Hour
• Required Equipment - Wetsuit and Harness. If you do not have your own, please inform us when you reserve your session. We have limited harnesses and wetsuits.

Cancelations

We understand that life happens. Just like the weather we cannot predict it. Don't worry, we do have a cancelation policy. All we ask is for you to be respectful of our time and the time of other potential kiters that want to learn to kiteboard.

• Cancellations before 24 hours receive a store credit or refund (if we cannot find a date that will work for you).
• If you decide to cancel, in less than 24hours... This is not cool. Someone could have kiteboarding in your spot if you have informed us sooner. We will not be able to reschedule or process a return. Please be respectful of our coaches and other clients.
• Cancellations due to weather - We will inform you 1 hour before your lesson time of any bad weather to reschedule or cancel your lesson.

You have to start somewhere. Without the basic knowledge and skills, it will be impossible to enjoy kiteboarding. Actually, it would be dangerous! TBD

After completion of this course, you can expect to know how to: assess good locations to practice, set up your own kite, launch and land a kite, basic kite control, activate your safety system.

During Ground School, you will develop skills that will build a good foundation for your kiteboarding journey and give you the confidence to fly a power kite.

You will learn

• Basic Weather Knowledge and how to choose the Safest Conditions and Locations to Kiteboard
• Equipment  Knowledge and how to choose the correct gear depending on the weather conditions
• Basic Flying Skills
• Landing and Launching a kite
• Safety Procedures & Basic Piloting
• Kiteboarding etiquette

Once you have completed the Ground School, you will be ready for a Water Session or jump start in a Kite Camp!

• Experience Level - "Never-Ever" (aka -Beginner)
• Session Time - Private - 2.5-Hour
• Required Equipment - Closed-toe shoes and a sweater for cool weather.

The Ground School is a semi-private session. This means it is usually done with two people. If we can not pair you, then it will be a private lesson.

Do you want to try the sport of kiteboarding?

The Taster will give you a taste of the sport. You will learn about the gear and fly a small power kite on land. This course was designed to be taken with other people, so bring your friend!!

• Prerequisite Skills - None
• Maximum participants - 2 to 3
• Experience Level - "Never-Ever" Beginner
• Session Time - 1 Hour
• Required Equipment - Closed-toe shoes and a sweater
• Semi-Private Lesson - You may be paired with another client with the same skill level.

(Taster Location depends on the weather, usually Emeryville Marina Park, Toll Beach Plaza, or Berkely's Ceasar Chavez Park)
(Ground School scheduled times depend on the weather and availability)
