Tired of slow progress from scattered lessons? These kiteboarding camps are designed for those who are ready to commit and become truly independent riders.
Typical kite lessons run for just 2 hours a day, which can stretch your learning curve for months or years! From my experience, the riders that learn fastest are the ones who can dedicate several consecutive days to nothing but kiteboarding.
Our camps are structured around exactly that. Over three FULL days, you'll build a solid foundation of independence and confidence on the water. Once you're comfortable, we’ll tailor the experience to your goals. Whether experiencing your first rides, jumping higher, riding strapless, learning to foil, or simply progressing faster in a supportive, high stoke environment.
Conditions to Progress
Sherman Island is one of the best kiteboarding locations in California. It usually has warm weather and consistant winds. Many Bay Area kiters enjoy sessioning here, but sometimes it can be crowded.
Don't worry, we will be taking you to an island that is away from the crowds and has plenty of room to practice. Perfect to try your first body drags, riding strapless, or jumping in the air. Maybe at the end of your three days you will do a downwinder and land your own kite at Sherman Island launch site.

How to arrive to Sherman Island
Sherman Island is located about 1 hour from San Francisco or Oakland.
4800 W Sherman Island Rd, Rio Vista, CA 94571
Once you enter the park. Find the boat ramp at the southern most point of the park. We'll be there with the gear and the jetskis.
Daily Schedule
Our schedule depends on the weather conditions and everyone’s rhythm. The wind calls the day. We will like to start at 10 am but sometimes we might have to start and end later in the day because the wind might arrive late. Don't worry... we'll plan on kiteboarding as much as possible. Here is an example of a day…
9 AM - Arrive at Sherman Island to get setup
10 AM to 12:30 - First Kite session for the Day
12:30 to 1:30 PM - Lunch Break
1:30 to 4 PM - Second Kite session for the Day
5 PM - Wrap up and dismissal
Â
What do you need to bring

No Wind Activities
Sometimes mother-nature doesn’t want to cooperate. It's the nature of kiteboarding. Luckily we have some activities that we can do without the wind.
- Wakeboarding - to build board skills
-
Technical kiteboarding classroom (Kite repairs, bar tuning, rules of the road, board shapes, and kite shapes, etc…)
- Efoil Sessions - to introduce a new way to enjoy the water
