Star Kiteboarding - New Kites coming to the Bay Area

For the 2020 season, in San Francisco's Bay Area, KGB Kiteboarding and Watersports is proud to bring you a new kite brand to the West Coast of the US.

Star Kiteboarding has been in the industry since 2005. They are based in the Dominican Republic, one of kiteboarding's meccas. This is the perfect place to test kiteboarding equipment. There you not only have some of the bluest waters of the Carribean, but you have consistent wind, flat water conditions, waves, beginners and professionals. Perfect conditions to test kitesurfing equipment.

Upon your first glimpse of Star Kiteboarding's equipment, you can see the bright and color patterns that you will expect to find in the Caribbean. The gear inspires you to have fun and be colorful!

The Taina is Star Kiteboarding's premiere kite. It is an all-terrain kite that is very playful and has user-friendly characteristics.

The Cruz Board comes in all the popular sizes that you need. These boards are very responsive and are easy to use. No one should ever grow out of this board. Plus, seeing the paulownia wood gives the board a nice look.

The Elite Bar V4 is Star Kiteboarding's go to control system. This system has the basic features that you need. (Below the bar swivel to untwist your center lines manually, out of the way safety leach connection, a quick-release system that will not deploy if you accidentally tap it will your board, and more).

The best key point is... the price! Because... let's face it... kiteboarding gear can be very expensive!

For a complete kite package...

  • 12m Taina Kite
  • Elite Bar Control System
  • Cruz Board with Straps and Fins
